Many people find it difficult to believe that there are adults who still walk naked in Nigeria but a visit to Kambari and Dukawa villages in Northern Nigeria will send a chill of blood up your spine. In 2007 when we got into the first village of intervention we met adult women and girls covering their pubic regions with leafs, nudity is the highest form of human degradation and God does not want to see His children naked “Unto Adam and his wife did the lord God make coats of skin, and clothed them” (Gen 3:21)

Afri-Mission and Evangelism Network has vowed not to leave any man, woman, boy or girl naked. We clothe them before we can tell them about Jesus. In the book of Mathew 25:36 Jesus said “I was naked and you clothed me” Clothing these naked is an expression of the love that we have for Jesus. Since 2007 Afri-Mission has clothed about 370 men, 23,230 women and girls and 1,400 children as at August 2025. We are constantly sourcing for new and fairly used clothes to enable us reach out to many more villages where adults work about naked.

Before Intervention

After Intervention

Nudity is the highest level of human degradation and primitivism and in many rural communities among the Kamberi and Dukawa ethnic groups, women, girls and children move about the village naked. It is the desire of Afri-Mission and Evangelism Network to cover the nakedness of everyone that is identified naked. Jesus said “I was naked and you clothed me” (Mathew 25:36)
